The main advantage of this program is that it is cheaper than Photoshop and Lightroom, but strong enough for the tasks most photo editing. As a result, improved raw workflow is good enough, basically you can skip it entirely if you wish. For example, to create a slide show NEF files, the program will only apply the default raw-processing settings and treats them as JPEG.
Elements 7 did not differ and include Photomerge Scene Cleaner, basically an extension of the Group Shot. Photomerge allows you to easily combine variations of the photo to delete unwanted objects in the scene. Usually features like this have never worked for me without a bit of work on my end, just incredible on this one, on two random images (which meet the criteria in common).
Adobe has also updated the adjustment operations through the use of Smart brushes, which consolidates multi-operating adjustments, such as select, then creates a new effect layer, into a single selection operation that automatically generate layers and masks. However, I can not get around how confusing user interface remains, I think the main reason is anything that seems organized by technology, not by the task.
